we really enjoy setting up our stall

 at the 

Spitalfields Antique Market

it doesn't take us too long to unwrap 

but watching Jai fold and arrange his beautiful 

vintage Kantha throws

is quite mesmerising 

unloading the bags filled with

stunning colours and pattern

he unravels them for people to see and touch

a wave of fabric ripples before your eyes

I couldn't possibly decide which one to choose!

✸ Thursday traders

The Great Wooferoo 

now has a stall at 

The Old Spitalfields Antique Market

on Thursdays

 we had an excellent days trading at our first day

 lots of visitors to our stall

eyeing up our curios and chatting to us

we were next to a stall selling beautiful old typewriters

and refurbished telephones

we were near the vintage glasses man

and a lady selling these!

we had to visit the 'cake lady'

and buy some of her delicious pastries

well, we have to keep our strength up eh?

☕ spicey nicey

we had a few requests for the recipe 

of this yummy hot spiced apple drink

so just for you .....

you will need ~ 

2 litres of cloudy apple

a thumb sized piece of ginger

a cinnamon stick

a few star anise

6 lemons

a generous drizzle of honey

pour the apple juice and about 1 litre of water

into a large saucepan

add the cinnamon & star anise

put onto a medium heat

meanwhile cut the ginger into slices

{no need to peel} and add to the pan

pare off the peel of the lemons

and add those too

bring the liquid to a gentle boil 

then simmer for 15 minutes

add the juice of the lemons

strain through a sieve and return to the pan

adding a generous squeeze of honey to sweeten

keep warm and serve

this is even tastier with a little shot of

spiced rum!
